Lower Hudson Valley taxpayers are projected to spend $141.7 million in the upcoming school year for 865 top administrators in 53 public school districts.
The Journal News has updated the figures after receiving salary data from the Ossining School District, which was not on the initial report released by the New York Department of Education yesterday.
In addition, the Yonkers School District provided salary information at The Journal News’s request for Superintendent Bernard P. Pierorazio, who oversees the region’s largest school district. The district projects that his base salary will be $260,000, with a total compensation cost of $284,819, which ranks him 41st in the three-county region.
Here are the updated numbers by county for the region’s top administrators, who are expected to earn $123,000 or more, which was the state’s cutoff for reporting the salaries. The data does not cover all administrators, just those earning $123,000 or more.
