Simpson – and her three assistant superintendents – get a district car as well as a BOCES gas credit card, which they can use to fuel up for their business and personal motoring pleasure.
In my Tax Watch column on Saturday, I’ll examine Simpson’s driving record on the taxpayer’s dime and revisit her insistence in July that she reimbursed the school district for her personal travels. In 2010 and 2011, taxpayers funded about 34,000 miles of personal driving, which included several upstate trips to the Rochester area, where her husband lives.
