Ramapo residents will get to hear details on the town’s 2013 preliminary budget at a public hearing tonight at 7 p.m.
The proposed $90.4 million plan increases spending by about $8.4 million, representing a 9.3 percent increase over the 2012 budget.
Under the plan, townwide taxes would increase by 9 percent while residents of unincorporated Ramapo would see an increase of 7.23 percent.
For each $50,000 of assessed value, a homeowner would pay $44.65 more in property taxes in 2013 under the townwide rate and $28.85 more under the unincorporated rate, town officials said.
