SeeThroughNY.net, the fiscally conservative Empire Center for New York State Policy’s government transparency website, has updated its payroll files for 62,287 employees of state and local public authorities in New York. Those, along with state employee and school district contracts, pension data, state employee salaries, pork barrel projects and other data are available on www.seethroughny.net.
Most of the 150 highest paid public authority employees worked for government-sponsored hospitals and health-care facilities, according to the SeeThroughNY records. That includes 102 employed by the New York City Health and Hospitals Corp., 24 with the Westchester County Health Care Corp. and 17 with the Erie County Medical Center Corp.
Michael Israel, president and CEO of the Westchester County Health Care Corp., received $1.4 million in total compensation in 2011, according to the database. He was the highest paid public authority executive in the state. Zvi Lefkovitz, director of radiology for the corporation, made $750,599.
The public authority with the highest average annual pay was the Long Island Power Authority at $97,675. The authority has been roundly criticized for its handling of the power outages caused by Superstorm Sandy last fall.
These are some other notable salaries:
—The average annual compensation for the 1,604 New York State Power Authority employees was $90,170.
—Erie County Medical Center Corp. CEO Jody Lomeo earned $704,790.
—Mark Aesch, CEO of the Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority, earned $316.315.

SeeThrough is a bunch cheap skate CEOs and business entities that
hate working people who want decent benefits and pensions because they would rather have only part timers and pay them minimum wage
Nothing they say should be believed any longer. They are the biggest special interest there is in NY
The have hate for anyone making a decent salary in NY.
