The Journal News/lohud.com is discussing New York’s Health Benefit Exchange with Deborah Marshall, vice president at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern and a member of the New York Health Benefit Exchange regional advisory committee; John Ravitz, executive vice president/COO of the Business Council of Westchester; and James Schutzer, vice president-elect of the New York State Association of Health Underwriters and president of J.D. Moschitto & Associates, a consulting group that specializes in strategic benefits services for small- to mid-size employers.
Enrollment starts in October, and coverage will begin Jan. 1. Topics include: the purpose of the health exchange, how New York’s insurance “marketplace” will work and who it will benefit.
